Bio: 

Eric Chrisp began working as an Evaluation Specialist for the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Board (AAIHB) in late 2015. He received a Bachelor of Science in anthropology and psychology from the Eastern Michigan University in 1992. In 2000 he completed a Master of Arts in applied anthropology from the University of South Florida. Mr. Chrisp has been working in public health research and program evaluation since 2001. His professional interests have included commercial tobacco control, chronic disease prevention, health disparities, race and ethnicity issues, political economy, community development, empowerment theory, youth action research and social/ecological models. Mr. Chrisp has several peer reviewed publications to his credit.

Prior to working with AAIHB Mr. Chrisp worked at the University of New Mexico Prevention Research Center as an Associate Scientist 1 & 2. Mr. Chrisp has recently served as the evaluator for an Office of Minority Health, health equity research grant, the Santa Ana TPWIC grant, the IHS funded COIPP grant, as well as evaluation technical assistance on other projects such as COVID-19 contact tracing and the IHS funded MSPI and DVPI grants. Mr. Chrisp has supervised junior researchers and prevention specialists and conducted program management of an annual contract with the New Mexico Department of Health for tobacco research and program evaluation. Mr. Chrisp has supervised survey administration and community relations for the Youth Risk Resiliency Survey, focus group recruitment and completion, as well as numerous Community Readiness Assessments.

In his private life Mr. Chrisp spends time with his wife & children and manages a small homestead where he practices regenerative agriculture.
